For patients
For a person who has benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) involving the anterior canal (also called the superior canal) on the right side, the relevant treatment maneuvers include the Kim maneuver for the right side, the modified (reversed) Semont maneuver for the right side, and the reverse Epley maneuver for the right side.
For clinicians
Practical summary
The anterior (superior) canal is the least commonly involved by benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). If the right side is affected, then the main options for treatment maneuvers are:
- Kim maneuver, right side
- Modified (reversed) Semont maneuver, right side
- Reverse Epley maneuver, right side
- Rahko maneuver, right side
