For patients
For a person who has benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) involving the posterior canal (also called the inferior canal) on the left side, treatment maneuvers include the Epley maneuver for the left side, the Semont maneuver for the left side, the Semont plus maneuver for the left side, or the Foster maneuver for the left side.
For clinicians
The posterior (inferior) canal is the one most commonly involved by benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). If the left posterior canal is involved, then treatment maneuvers include:
- Epley maneuver, left
- Semont maneuver, left
- Semont plus maneuver, left
- Foster maneuver, left
- Gans maneuver, left
- Modified Epley maneuver, left
