For a person who has benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) involving the lateral canal (also called the horizontal canal) on the left side, the relevant treatment maneuvers include the Lempert roll for the left side.

The lateral (also known as the horizontal) semicircular canal is the second most commonly affected canal by benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). If the left lateral canal is affected, then options for treatment maneuvers include:
